Nortons - The Pitch

Our theatre styled initiative runs on a quarterly basis and is aimed at promising technology companies looking to raise funds of between £250k and £2m.

Each quarter, we carefully select three companies looking to participate in The Pitch, offering them the opportunity to present their case for investment to a group of industry and investment experts, including high net worth individuals, investment clubs and investment funds.

Each company receives critical feedback on their 15 minute pitch and their investment case.  Participants’ involvement in the The Pitch assists them in raising funds either through equity, debt or a combination of both and / or valuable commercial contacts and relationships to further develop their business.

As part of the process, our Corporate Finance Team works closely with each selected company to ensure they “perfect” their “pitch”, thereby maximising their chances of successfully attracting interest to raise funds.  This involves:

• Obtaining a good understanding of their business operations, financial condition and prospects;
• Consulting with them to obtain an understanding of the key commercial, strategic and financial strengths and weaknesses of their business;
• Help them to form a reasoned view on a possible achievable valuation range;
• Discuss and agree with them an appropriate pitch and presentation for the nortons PPP;
• Review the business plan and any materials to be made available at the PPP;
• Support and coach them in order to maximise the benefits of being involved in the PPP;
• Assist them in their negotiations and dealings with potential investors and their advisers including helping to reach a definitive investment agreement.

In making these services available, we have developed a standardised program that is efficient and highly cost effective.  We charge £2,500 for entry into the program plus a percentage of any funds raised. The £2,500 would be credited against future fees if the company becomes a Nortons client.
